Single and Return
Single & Return
You should purchase a Day Return ticket if your outward and return journeys will be on the same day and via the same rout.- If your outward and return journeys will take place on different days, then you will need to purchase two Single tickets.
- If you are going to several towns in one day, you should purchase a ticket that indicates to which destination(s) you will be travelling.
Validity
- Single/Return tickets are valid for one day: from 00.00 on the date shown on the ticket to 04.00 the following morning.
- You are allowed to break your journey but only if you complete the entire journey in one day.
5 Return ticket
- The 5 Return Ticket allows you purchase five return tickets for the same route all at once.
Validity
- Each return is valid for one day.
- The tickets are undated. Before boarding the train, validate your ticket by dating it in the ticket stamping machine at the station.
- The 5 Return Ticket is not personal.
Weekend Return
- A Weekend Return is similar to the Day Return and costs the same, but your return journey does not have to be on the same day as your outward journey. This means you do not have to purchase two separate Singles tickets for a weekend away. It is both convenient and economical.
Validity
- A Weekend Return is valid from 19.00 Friday evening to 04.00 Monday morning.
- The entire outward journey must be completed in one day, and the same is applicable for the return journey.
- If the Friday or Monday falls on an official public holiday, the Weekend Return validity is extended. At Whitsun, for instance, you can make the outward journey from 19.00 on Friday evening and the return journey can be made until 04.00 on Tuesday morning.
