Who is a Dal season ticket for?
An NS-Business Card with a Dal season ticket is an interesting option for you if:
- travel off-peak at least once a month with NS
- go to a variety of destinations, with an occasional or flexible pattern of travel
- commute to and from work less than 150 times a year (whether off-peak or not)
150 journeys a year is roughly:
- three times a week for ten months
- four times a week for nine months
- five times a week for eight months
What does a Dal season ticket cost?
An NS-Business Card with a Dal season ticket costs €50 a year.
The costs for all journeys made are billed monthly. You get a 40% discount on off-peak* train travel with NS. Eligibility for the discount is determined by the moment at which you check in (with a five-minute margin, e.g. checking in at 08:57 still gets the discount).

* Off-pick: On working days before 06:30, from 09:00 to 16:00 and after 18:30. All day at weekends (i.e. from 18:30 on Friday to 04:00 on Monday).
** A new NS-Business Card with a Dal season ticket entitles you to a Samenreiskorting (Joint Journey Discount). Up to three passengers can travel with you on NS trains with a 40% discount. They can load the joint journey discount onto their OV-chipkaart (pre-paid public transport smartcard) at an NS ticket machine. A joint journey discount is valid on the day it is purchased for a single journey from 09:00 (or all day at weekends). It can be used once for checking in and once for checking out. The Samenreiskorting is no longer valid after you check out.
