Correction fares

 

Correction fares are charged by NS when passengers are found not to be travelling in accordance with the terms and conditions. For example, if a passenger checks in but then fails to check out, NS is unable to determine the fare for the journey. NS applies a correction fare for this.
The table below shows which situations are subject to a correction fare.

Fraud is unrelated to correction fares.

Insufficient travel entitlement (first-class travel with a second class product, peak-hour travel with an off-peak product, failure to check out)   €20
 No entitlement to travel (no booking, not checked in, travelling towards the check-in station)  €45
 No Fyra supplement booked  €10
Not checked in bus, tram, metro €4
