Travelers who come to the stations in Amersfoort by bicycle in 2016 can store their bicycles for free at the self-service storage facilities at the Piet Mondriaanplein and the Inputplein. This service has been extended for a period of one year.
In order to use the free self-service storage facility, you must have an access pass. To request an access pass, contact NS Customer Service. You will be charged a one-time deposit fee of € 20. We will send the pass once we have received payment of the deposit.
Note: when requesting a pass online, the full costs will be calculated at the end of the process If you already have an access pass for the bicycle storage facility, then the pass will be automatically extended for the period of one year.
Reducing public nuisances
There is a major shortage of parking space for bicycles at the stations. By making the self-service storage facilities at the Piet Mondriaanplein and the Inputplein free of charge, more passengers will take advantage of the service and we can work with the City of Amersfoort to reduce the nuisance of over-full bicycle parking areas in front of the station entrance.
