On King's Day, large numbers of revellers travel by train. Due to the large crowds different rules will apply on the train and at the station from 18:00 on Tuesday evening 26 April until 7:00 on Thursday morning 28 April.
In order to guarantee safety and a pleasant atmosphere, it will be forbidden to bring, drink or distribute alcohol at stations or on trains throughout the country during King's Night and King's Day. This applies from 19:00 on Tuesday evening 26 April until 7:00 on Thursday morning 28 April. Catering establishments and shops at the stations will also be prohibited from selling alcohol.
For security reasons, luggage lockers and depots will be closed at some stations during King's Night and King's Day. This applies for stations close to large events.
At Utrecht Centraal, Amsterdam Amstel, Amsterdam Centraal, Alkmaar, Eindhoven, Haarlem, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Tilburg and Zwolle stations, luggage lockers will be closed from 19:00 on Tuesday evening 26 April until 7:00 on Thursday morning 28 April.
Pickpockets and muggers are active during King's Day. Look after your belongings and leave valuables at home if possible. Conceal your telephone and wallet carefully. Do the test on mijnstraatwaarde.nl.
