Travel information for people with a disability

There are several ways for people with a disability to access NS Travel Information. However, if you cannot find the information you need, please feel free to contact NS Customer Service.

Planning your journey

Plan your journey using the Travel Planner. The NS website is screenreader-accessible. If you have a hearing disability, you can also request travel information via the teksttelefoon at: 0900 – 5559292.

Requesting NS brochures

People with a disability have several different options to access travel information.

  • Request spoken versions of NS brochures from Dedicon (tel. 0486-486486)
  • You can also read NS brochures via the Anderslezen website.

Information about the OV-chipkaart

If you would like more information about the OV-chipkaart, please visit:  Steffie.nl.

Contact with Customer Service

If you need extra information, you can contact NS Klantenservice via social media, live chat, telephone and e-mail or the Service Forum.

Interpreters

If you are hearing impaired, you may also choose to have an interpreter conduct the conversation for you. In that case, the Personal Data Protection Act requires NS to ask your permission for the interpreter to speak on your behalf and to share your private personal information with the interpreter. If this is not possible, we will choose to have our employee record the conversation. Naturally, the NS employee will explain the procedure first before deciding on this option.
