Full overview of the rates
New prices for 2018
Starting on 1 January 2018, NS will adjust the rates for one-way tickets, return tickets, day tickets and season tickets. The rates will be increased to compensate for the projected rate of inflation. In 2018, NS will pay less compensation to ProRail for the use of the railway network. This decrease will also be calculated into the price increase, so the increase will be lower than the rate of inflation.
Which business products will be affected by the price changes?
- One-way and Return journeys made using the NS-Business Card, 2nd class will be increased by an average of 1.22%. First class One-way and Return tickets will remain the same price on average, in order to make 1st class more attractive in comparison to 2nd class. Prices will be rounded off to the nearest € 0.10, so some ticket price increases may vary slightly.
- The following season ticket prices will increase by an average of 1.22% as of 1 January 2018: NS-Business Card with Traject Vrij season ticket, NS-Business Card with Trein Vrij season ticket, NS-Business Card with OV Vrij season ticket.
- The NS-Business Card itself will cost € 3.99 per month (excluding VAT).
