Forgot your OV-chipkaart?

Oops, you've forgotten your OV-chipkaart. Here's what you can do.

Replacement ticket

You need to arrange another valid ticket to travel, such as a single-use OV-chipkaart from the NS Ticket Machine, or an e-ticket via the website or the Travel Planner Xtra app. 

Requesting a refund

If you normally travel with an NS Flex season ticket, then you will incur double the expense when you purchase a replacement ticket. But don't worry: you can request a refund for all of the costs incurred as part of your season ticket up to one month after the travel date, for a maximum of three refunds per year.

Submitting a refund request

You can submit a refund request to NS Customer Service via Twitter @NS_online or Facebook. We are standing by day and night to help you.

Refund payment

We will inform you of whether your request has been approved and the refund amount as soon as possible. We will then deposit the amount directly to the bank account number provided. This usually takes around 3 to 4 weeks.
