King's Night 2018 in Utrecht, Arnhem and Den Haag

Many cities throughout the country will be hosting King's Night events on the evening before King's Day. Many of these festivities will continue through the night and into King's Day itself.


Cities where King's Night is celebrated in style include Utrecht, Arnhem (with the Kingsize event) and Den Haag, with the 2-day Life I Livefestival.

Oranje train timetable

On Thursday, 26 April (King's Night) and Friday, 27 April (King's Day), the NS will operate trains according to the special Oranje train timetable.

NS will run trains until approx. 03:00 on the night of Thursday to Friday along the following routes:

  • Between Den Haag CS - Gouda - Utrecht Centraal.
  • Between Den Haag CS - Rotterdam Centraal.
  • Between Den Haag CS - Leiden Centraal.
  • Night trains will run every hour between Utrecht C - Amsterdam C - Schiphol - Leiden C - Den Haag HS - Rotterdam C, and will make special stops in Maarssen, Breukelen and Delft.

During King's Night in Arnhem, extra trains will also be scheduled to and from the city, or trains will run longer into the night.

Getting home

Please check the NS Travel Planner or the Travel Planner Xtra app in advance to see if you can still reach your destination. Many stations will not be accessible by train later in the evening.
