New NS-Business Card

Why is the NS Business Card being updated?

The new NS Business Card is a public transport pass. It is the successor to the OV-chipkaart, which is technically outdated. The introduction of the public transport pass will make the services provided via the NS Business Card more flexible and user-friendly.

The difference between the OV-chipkaart and OV-pass

The technology behind the OV-pass is completely different. With the OV-pass, data about journeys and season tickets is stored securely in an online account instead of on the card itself, as is the case with the OV-chipkaart. This allows you to easily arrange more travel matters yourself online. Think of adding season tickets or viewing journeys and travel expenses online. This new technology offers more opportunities for new services, products and self-service. In addition, the OV-pas is more secure thanks to modern security requirements and is ready for digital use in the future.

Switching to the new NS-Business Card

Do your employees have NS-Business Cards? You do not need to do anything right now. We will send you new NS-Business Cards (OV-pas) at a later date, but you will receive more information first. For example, we will let you know when the new cards will arrive. You will also receive the new terms and conditions, and we will explain what you can do if you do not agree. Until you receive the new cards, your employees can continue to travel with their current NS-Business Cards.

Check your details in Mijn NS Zakelijk

Would you like to prepare for the arrival of the OV-pas? Check in Mijn NS Zakelijk whether your details, such as your address and email address, are still correct. This will ensure that you receive all the important information about the OV-pas and that we send the pass to the correct address.

Travelling with the new NS-Business Card

For you as a traveller, not much will change. The new NS Business Card (public transport pass) will still take you from door to door. You simply check in and out as usual on trains, buses, trams and metros. Thanks to the new technology, you will always have immediate insight into your journeys and costs via the NS app.
