How does the NS-Business Card work?
With the NS-Business Card you or your employees can travel with a personal card or a department card by checking in and out on the train, bus, tram and metro. You also get access to our door-to-door services, such as Greenwheels, OV-fiets and P+R parking.
What is travel on account?
Travel on account is how you pay for the NS-Business Card. It means you pay for services after you use them.
With which train, bus, tram and metro carriers can I use my NS-Business Card?
The NS-Business Card allows you to travel with all train, bus, tram and metro carriers in the Netherlands simply by checking in and out. You have to check in and out with each individual carrier. After you take a trip with NS, check out first before checking in with a new carrier.
Which subscriptions can I get on my NS-Business Card?
You can take your pick from multiple season tickets: Dal, Traject Vrij (with optional Split Payment), Trein Vrij, OV Vrij and Traject op Maat. With a subscription, you can make the most of the benefits offered by the NS-Business Card. See all business subscriptions.
Checking in and out
The NS-Business Card is an OV-chipkaart for businesses. Simply touch in on a check-in post or gate to check in. When you leave the train, do the same to check out. If you’re switching carriers, check out and check in with the next carrier. On international train journeys, you do not have to check in and out in the Netherlands. You can easily book your international train journey via your Mijn NS Zakelijk account. We’ll simply add it to your invoice.
Co-travel discount
If you have a subscription on your NS-Business Card, then a maximum of 3 people can travel with you per train ride at 40% discount during off-peak hours. Giving Co-travel discount can be done in two ways: in the NS app or in Mijn NS Zakelijk. Read more about giving Co-travel discount.
Class change
To change to a different class once or permanently, open the NS app, Mijn NS Zakelijk or head to a ticket machine at the station. Learn how to arrange a class change.
