Service provision for transport concessions
The Dutch rail network has several operators. They are awarded transport concessions for specific routes through tenders. At the end of a concession period, the operator on a route may sometimes change.
When a different operator starts running a route, NS Reizigers provides certain services to the new operator upon request.
Which services are these?
This support includes, among other things, the (shared) use of:
- Webservice Route and Fare Calculation (WRP)
- Passage passes for BTS
- Information provided by station staff at passenger stations
