Experts in train maintenance
Over the past 178 years, we have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in train maintenance. This makes us true experts. We have gradually built this up on the busiest railway network in Europe. Thanks to this experience, our revision department can deliver train parts with better failure behavior and make maintenance schedules more efficient. This also enables us to provide a product for train modernization that can be deployed at lower costs. We do this with high-tech maintenance locations and well-trained and certified employees who work safely and are happy to think along with the customer.
Safety
Safety is very important to NS. “You work safely or you don't work.” We also ask suppliers who provide services as third parties on NS premises to be aware of the rules and protocols.
We always work safely everywhere, fully qualified, and comply with laws and regulations. Our way of working is reliable, demonstrable, and we continuously improve.
Sustainability
At NS, sustainability is a top priority. We take good care of trains and extend their lifespan. Additionally, we use as little energy and water as possible and produce minimal waste. More than 80% of the business waste that remains is recycled. Implementing sustainable solutions and modernizing materials fits well within our ‘green’ policy. This makes NS a good partner for carriers who set stringent sustainability requirements for their trains.
