Digital Services Act (DSA)

The Digital Services Act, also known as the DSA, applies to NS as well. This mainly relates to the shared mobility options available through the NS app.

Certified dispute committee

If NS suspects that the law or our policy has been violated, we may take action against content or an account. If we decide not to act after receiving a report of potentially illegal content and you disagree with this, we will refer you to a certified dispute committee. This committee handles complaints in accordance with the Digital Services Act.

Currently, such a committee is not yet available. We will keep you informed as soon as this changes.

Number of users of shared mobility options

We estimate that around 6,000 people per year actively use the shared mobility options in the NS app.

This estimate is based on the data currently available. Under the Digital Services Act, we are required to disclose this number. Please use this estimate solely for that purpose.

The European Commission is working on guidelines for how the average number of monthly users is calculated, so this figure may change in the future.

According to the DSA, a service recipient is a person or organisation that uses our service, for example, to find or share information.
