Park and Ride (P+R) parking

Avoid traffic jams and high parking fees. Leave your car on one of the parking sites near the station.

How does it work?

Check the site beforehand to see how many spaces are available. When you arrive, drive up to the barrier. We will scan your registration number and the barrier will open.

Ready to leave?

  1. Drive up to the barrier. We will scan your registration number and the parking fee will appear on the display.
  2. Are you entitled to a discount? Scan your OV-chipkaart, OV-pas or e-ticket to pay.
  3. Pay the parking fee. You can use a payment card, credit card, mobility card, NS-Business Card or an OV-chipkaart with an NS-Flex subscription.
  4. The barrier will open and you may drive out.

You can easily continue your journey by train from a Park and Ride (P+R) site. Parking is also allowed if you do not make a journey by train.

Park and Ride (P+R) parking costs

Most Park and Ride (P+R) sites offer free parking. Around 50 sites charge a fee. Parking prices vary by location.

Parking discounts

If you travel by train on the same day, you can park cheaply at paid Park and Ride (P+R) sites. You will receive a daily discount on parking and pay a maximum of € 9 per day.

This discount applies only if you travel by train within the Netherlands using an OV-chipkaart, OV-pas, NS-Business Card or e-ticket. On the day you leave, check in and out at a domestic station.

If you travel using your payment card, you will not receive a discount.

Parking regularly at the same site

Do you park regularly at the same Park and Ride (P+R) site? Apply for a parking subscription with Q-Park. It is convenient and much cheaper if you park frequently. Also:

  • You are guaranteed a parking space.
  • You can drive out straight away because we recognise your registration number.
  • You will save money if you park at the same site three times a week or more.

Frequently asked questions

How many days can I park?

You may park for up to 28 consecutive days at a Park and Ride (P+R) site. If you qualify for a discount, you can receive it for a maximum of three days (72 hours).

Good to know: you must have made a domestic journey by train on the day you leave to receive the discount.

Can I pay in cash?

Nobody accepts cash on our sites. Pay with a Maestro payment card, Mastercard, Visa, VPay, American Express, Yellowbrick, MultiTankCard, Travelcard, OV-chipkaart with NS-Flex or NS-Business Card. The limit is € 50 per transaction.
