The Amsterdam Travel Ticket lets you travel unlimited across Amsterdam with a single ticket. This avoids the hassle of buying separate tickets and saves you money.
The Amsterdam Travel Ticket is valid without limits on all GVB buses, trams, metros and ferry services. It is also valid without limits for train travel, bus 397 and the Niteliner (bus N97) between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam.

Purchase this ticket online as a voucher from Discover Holland. Redeem the voucher later for an Amsterdam Travel Ticket at a station with an NS Tickets & Service shop / OV Service & Tickets shop or at the tourist ticket machines at Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Centraal stations.
The Amsterdam Travel Ticket is also available to buy directly at any station with an NS Tickets & Service shop / OV Service & Tickets shop.
Validity
Train
The Amsterdam Travel Ticket gives you unlimited travel in 2nd class by train to and from Schiphol Airport from any of the following stations in Amsterdam: Amstel, Bijlmer ArenA, Centraal station, Holendrecht, Lelylaan, Muiderpoort RAI, Sciencepark, Sloterdijk, Zuid and Duivendrecht.
Tram, bus, metro and ferry
The ticket can be used on all GVB trams, (night) buses, metros and ferries, and on the Amsterdam Airport Express (bus 397) and Niteliner (bus N97) operated by Connexxion. The ticket is not valid on buses run by other operators than GVB, such as EBS, Arriva and Connexxion (except for the two buses mentioned).
When does the ticket become valid?
The ticket is valid from the moment you first check in until 04:00 on the morning after the ticket’s last valid day (valid for one, two or three days, depending on the ticket type). Each day begins at 00:00 (midnight). Example: if you check in at midnight on Wednesday with a two-day ticket, it will be valid until 04:00 on Friday morning.

The ticket is a single-use smart card. Check in at the start of your journey and check out again at the end.
Checking in and out with your Amsterdam Travel Ticket
Hold your Amsterdam Travel Ticket against a reader post or gate to check in for your journey. When you arrive and leave the train and station, hold it to the reader again to check out. You must check in and out for each operator, so this also applies when you change to a bus, tram or metro. Always check out at an NS card reader before checking in with another operator.
