Access for Staff and Carriers

If you need to work at a station with closed gates, carry out engineering work or provide service, you must have an access pass.

Are you a rail operator? Request digital KeyCards for your travellers so they can pass through the station gates without any issues.

Are you an international traveller? You can apply for a KeyCard to open the station gates.

Access Pass

Do you work at a station with closed gates or carry out work there? You can request a free Access Pass.

You will receive the pass within five to ten working days after your application has been processed.

Who is it for?

Employees of NS, ProRail, other railway-related companies, private carriers or tenants of NS Stations.

Usage

The Access Pass is personal and only intended for work-related access to the station.

Service & Access Pass

Do you provide service or assistance at the station? You can request a free Service & Access Pass.

You will receive this pass within five to ten working days after your application has been processed.

Who is it for?

For service staff, train personnel and emergency responders.

Usage

The pass is personal and intended for your own use only to provide service at the station.

KeyCard

Are you a rail operator? Request digital KeyCards for your travellers so they can pass through the station gates without any problems.

If you are an international traveller and need access to a station with closed gates, you can apply for a free KeyCard. It grants entry to stations with closed access gates.

The KeyCard opens the station gates. It includes a unique barcode and is intended solely for station access. Please note that a KeyCard is not a ticket. The digital KeyCard shows details such as the validity period, expiry date, and the stations where the KeyCard is valid.

Who is it for?

International travellers, both individual and via travel agencies.
