Station rules apply on and around our stations. These rules protect your safety and that of fellow travellers. By following them, together we ensure a pleasant and safe environment at the station.
NS station rules
Clear house rules apply at our stations. We ask you, as a traveller, to respect these. You will find them displayed on stickers, posters and through instructions from our staff.
The following rules also always apply:
No smoking anywhere
Smoking is not allowed on our stations or platforms. This ban also includes electronic cigarettes and similar products.
Identification is required
If you are travelling with an age- or personal-bound ticket, or if you break any rule, you must identify yourself with a legally valid ID.
Maintain order and calm
Behave in a way that does not disturb order, calm or safety at the station. Always follow the instructions of NS staff.
Filming NS staff is not allowed without permission
You may only take photos, videos or sound recordings of NS staff with NS’s prior and explicit consent.
