Timetable

The timetable 2026 starts on Sunday 14 December 2025. Trains will run earlier in the morning and later in the evening on many routes. More trains will also run on various routes and some connections will improve.

If you travel regularly on the same train, check your departure and arrival times in the NS Reisplanner. Times may have changed.

More early and late trains

On several routes, the first train departs earlier and the last train runs later. This makes travelling more flexible, whether for early shifts, studying or a night out.

Better connections between Zeeland and North Brabant

The train between Zwolle and Roosendaal runs through to Vlissingen every hour. Travellers from Zeeland can now travel directly to Breda, Tilburg and beyond every hour. This improves the region's accessibility by train.

More trains on busy routes

The frequency is increasing on several routes:

  • On weekdays, four Intercity trains run every hour all day between Amersfoort Centraal and Deventer.
  • At weekends, more Sprinters run between Uitgeest and Amsterdam Centraal.
  • Additional Sprinters operate between The Hague Central and Dordrecht on Saturdays.
  • Weert station will continue to have four Intercity trains per hour in each direction at weekends.

International

There is an additional Eurostar running daily between Amsterdam and London. This increases capacity on this route.

Engineering work and disruptions

Work on the tracks will continue in 2026. Challenges remain, including on the high-speed line. Always check the NS Reisplanner shortly before departure for the latest travel advice.
