An accessible society keeps the economy healthy and vibrant. Travelling by train is better for the environment than many other modes of transport. It also brings people together and fosters social connections. NS leads the way in sustainable mobility and aims to continue doing so.

NS has a significant social impact. Our passengers already travel climate-neutrally: energy-efficiently and with green electricity, meaning zero CO2 emissions. However, we continue to push forward. Below, you can read about our goals for each theme.
