The Station Piano

The station piano has become a permanent feature at the station. Travellers use it not only to play but also as a place to meet others. The first station pianos were installed in September 2014, in partnership with several organisations. They were originally intended to create atmosphere at stations undergoing lengthy renovations.

Today, the pianos mean much more. They are a lasting success that brings people together. Travellers often take a moment to play themselves or listen to others.

Some people have met at the piano and have been playing together regularly ever since. It is a lovely way to spend your time at the station.
