Traject Vrij Monthly Ticket

When purchasing, you can select which class the monthly ticket will apply to.

You can only purchase the Traject Vrij Monthly Ticket at NS Ticket Machines located in stations.

You can travel unlimited for the entire month on your chosen route. This applies during peak hours, off-peak times, weekends and public holidays.

1. Go to the NS Ticket Machine at one of the NS stations
2. Hold your personal OV-chipkaart up to the reader
3. Select 'Monthly Tickets'
4. Choose the Traject Vrij Monthly Ticket for one or three months
5. Select your preferred class
6. Pay
7. Your monthly ticket is valid immediately. Have a pleasant journey!

The start date of your monthly ticket is always the date of purchase.

A monthly ticket covers a fixed period and then ends. You pay the full amount upfront at the NS Ticket Machine when purchasing. This means no credit check is required.

NS Flex subscriptions run continuously, can be adjusted monthly, and let you pay afterwards on account. Monthly tickets do not offer this flexibility. NS Flex subscriptions are often cheaper.

Yes. You must check in and out with your personal OV-chipkaart for every journey you make with your Traject Vrij Monthly Ticket.

The Traject Vrij Monthly Ticket is valid with all train operators in the Netherlands, except Nightjet and Eurostar. A surcharge applies on Intercity direct and ICE International.
