Do you find it difficult to read or follow the signs above the platforms? The free NS Platform Guide app gives you up-to-date platform information wherever you are. Your phone shows which train departs next, so you can board with peace of mind.

What information does the NS platform guide provide?
The NS Platform Guide app provides clear, up-to-date information, including:
- The next two trains departing from the selected platform
- The departure times
- The arrival station
- The type of train, such as Intercity or Sprinter
- All intermediate stations
- Notices such as delay information or the message ‘do not board’
You can also search for any station in the Netherlands and check all current departure times. The app includes information for stations not served by NS.
How to use the NS platform guide
The NS Platform Guide is easy to use and works in five simple steps:
- Download the free app from the App Store or Google Play Store
- Open the app
- Select your station
- Choose the platform
- View the information displayed on the platform sign
If your location services are turned on, the app will automatically display the nearest station. When turned off, you can easily search for a station, platform, and departure times using the search bar.
An accessible journey for everyone
The NS Platform Guide was developed by NS together with the Dutch Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted. Passengers with reduced mobility have also tested the app. This way, we make sure everyone can travel by train as independently and comfortably as possible.
NS works with advocacy groups each year to improve service for travellers with reduced mobility. This approach makes train travel increasingly accessible to everyone.
