At NS, you work in a team made up of very diverse people. Such a diverse workforce helps us understand what is happening in society. Everyone feels welcome here and is treated with respect. We learn from each other every day and continue to develop as an organisation.

At NS, we create jobs that truly matter. We offer 200 sustainable positions for people with barriers to employment, which is a key focus for us. We work with specialised recruitment agencies and have our own recruitment team that understands the needs of this group.

At NS, we first look at your talents as a candidate or employee. Then we determine what support you require to work effectively, such as an adapted workspace, facilities or flexible hours. Everyone starting at NS receives the same employment conditions as colleagues within the same part of the company.

Together with our suppliers, we strive to help as many people with barriers to the labour market as possible. This includes contracts for managing bicycle storage or employing temporary workers. In this way, we contribute together to social goals.

Former refugees are also part of our diverse workforce. We encourage them to apply for regular vacancies and traineeships. We do this in collaboration with UAF (Foundation for Refugee Students), municipalities and other organisations. Each year, we offer five paid work experience placements of nine months for highly educated refugees. In 2018, we also organised introduction sessions for retail companies together with refugee support workers.

We regularly share our knowledge and experience with other employers, organisations and municipalities. Together, we create more opportunities in the labour market.
