Money debited by OVpay

Do you see a debit on your bank account that starts with NLOV followed by 14 numbers and letters? Then you have travelled by checking in and out with your debit card. The debit comes from OVpay, to whom you paid your travel expenses.

How to request a refund with OVpay

  1. Go to your Journey details on OVpay.nl
  2. Find your journey using your NLOV reference number and the amount charged.
  3. Check whether a check in or check out is missing for your journey.

Is a check in or check out missing?

Enter the same station as both departure station and arrival station. This will set the fare for your journey to € 0 and you will receive a refund of the amount you overpaid.

Do you see a complete journey listed?

Is there a complete journey with a departure station and an arrival station? Contact OVpay Customer Service. Call 0900-1433 (standard call charges) or +31108925063 if you are calling from outside the Netherlands. They are available on weekdays from 07:00 to 17:00.

Prevent accidentally checking in with your debit card

Want to avoid accidentally checking in with your debit card next time? Read below to see what you can do:

  • Only present one card at a time. Take the card you want to check in with out of your wallet.
  • Have an e-ticket? Load it into the NS app and scan it from there.

Are you travelling with your debit card but were charged too much? Make sure you always check in with the same type of card.

If you check in with your physical payment card, check out with that same card.
