When the Reflection Period Applies
The right of withdrawal applies to all NS season tickets purchased online or by phone via NS Customer Service, except for business season tickets.
Season tickets bought at an NS Tickets & Service shop are not eligible for the right of withdrawal. This right only applies to agreements made remotely or outside a physical store.
Refund or Payment After Cancellation
You have informed Customer Service that you wish to cancel under the right of withdrawal. We will then cancel your season ticket retrospectively, which means from the start date of your season ticket.
You will then be entitled to a full refund of your season ticket. We will transfer this amount back to your account within fourteen days.
Already Travelled Using Your Season Ticket
When ordering your season ticket, you asked NS to activate it during the reflection period so you could travel. If you decide to cancel within this period but have already travelled with the season ticket, you will only receive a full refund of the cost of the season ticket. We will adjust the travel costs by subtracting any discount you received during that period, ensuring you pay the full fare for the journeys you made.
How to Cancel Your Season Ticket During the Reflection Period
You have a fourteen-day reflection period after ordering your season ticket. This period starts the day after the day you placed your order. If you wish to cancel your season ticket, please contact our Customer Service and inform them of your decision.
If you prefer not to speak to anyone, complete the Right of Withdrawal model form and send it to us by post.
