Reclaiming or transferring your balance

It is unfortunately not possible to transfer your card balance to a new OV-chipkaart. You can request a refund of the balance on your OV-chipkaart. You can do this via ov-chipkaart.nl.

Before reclaiming your balance

Do you use automatic reload? Then stop automatic reloading before having the money remaining on your OV-chipkaart refunded.

How to reclaim your OV-chipkaart balance

Do you want to reclaim the money left on your personal or anonymous OV-chipkaart? Then fill in the form on ov-chipkaart.nl and get the balance refunded to your account. It does not matter if your OV-chipkaart has expired.
