In most cities you can use the scooter only between 06:00 and 01:00.
In Amsterdam, Den Haag, Breda and Rotterdam you can use the Check-scooter day and night.

You cannot rent a Check-scooter with your NS season ticket. You choose the payment method you want to use when you register in the Check app.

How much does renting cost?
You rent a Check-scooter for € 0,35 per minute, with a starting fee of € 0,75. Parking costs € 0,15 per minute.
How do I pay for a journey?

When you register with Check you choose how to pay. The cost of your journeys is charged once a month between the 1st and the 5th working day of each month.
If the charges exceed € 25, the amount will be charged immediately.
Safety and rules

Am I insured?
Yes. Every Check shared scooter has third-party liability (WA) insurance. See the coverage and policy terms on Check’s site.
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Do I have to wear a helmet?
Yes. Wearing a helmet is mandatory on all scooters.
Each scooter has two helmets and hair nets in the top case. You are welcome to use your own helmet if you prefer.

Never ridden a scooter before? That is not a problem. Read the instructions carefully, watch the tutorial videos in the Check-app, or try riding a short distance at low speed first.
An electric scooter accelerates quickly and is quiet. Keep plenty of distance from other road users and slow down when overtaking cyclists.
Can I ride to another city?

You can ride to another city, but we do not recommend it. You must end your ride in the same service area where you started it.
Some cities share the same service area. Check this before you set off.
If you end your ride in a different service area, you will be charged € 50 for relocating the scooter.
You can pause your ride in another city and then ride back.
Do I need a driving licence?
Do I need a driving licence?
Yes. You need a motorcycle (type A) or car (type B) driving licence, or a moped certificate. You must also be 18 or older to use the scooters.
Before you take your first ride, add your driving licence in the Check-app.
What is a service area?
What is a service area?
The service area is the zone shown in purple in the Check-app. You can start and end your ride within this area.
Can two people ride on one scooter?
Can two people ride on one scooter?
Two people may ride a Check scooter. Both riders are covered by Check’s insurance, provided you follow the traffic rules.
About the scooter
How far can I ride on a full battery?
How far can I ride on a full battery?
You can ride around 40–50 km on a full battery. Please note you must end your ride in the service area where you started it.
If you do end it in a different service area, you will be charged € 50 for moving the scooter.
Do the scooters have phone holders?
Do the scooters have phone holders?
Check scooters have a phone holder. You can easily adjust it to your phone’s size using the wheel on the back of the holder.
Tighten the wheel afterwards so your phone is held securely.
