Corrective fees

If you forget to check in or out with your Traject Vrij season ticket or NS Business Card, we cannot calculate the price of your journey. In this case, we will charge a corrective fee, which may differ per season ticket. All corrective fees are billed via the invoice.

Requesting a refund when forgetting to check in or out

If you have been charged a corrective fee for forgetting to check in or out, you can correct this 5 times per calendar year via Mijn NS Zakelijk starting from the 9th day after the travel date, which is when all journey details will be available in our system. The difference between the corrective fee and the actual journey price will be corrected on the next invoice. Please submit your correction request within 6 months of the travel date in question.

All corrective fees include 6% BTW.

Forgetting to check in or out with an NS Business Card in the bus, tram or metro

If you use your NS Business Card in the bus, tram or metro, then the terms and conditions of the transportation company in question apply. We will charge the costs declared by that company to your invoice. If you have an OV Vrij season ticket, no corrective fee will be charged, because you can travel freely by bus, tram and metro. For supplemental season tickets and the NS-Business Card without season tickets, the bus, tram and metro companies will charge a corrective fee. You can find this corrective fee in your travel history in Mijn NS Zakelijk after the transport company has provided this information.

Requesting a refund

If you would like to request a refund after forgetting to check in or out in the bus, tram or metro, you can call NS Zakelijk Customer Service or send an e-mail to:  NSZakelijk@ns.nl. You may request refunds from any non-NS transport company offering this service up to 3 x per year (for example: 1 x for GVB, 2 x for EBS). The € 4 fine will then be corrected on your next invoice.
