What personal information do we use?
In order to draw up reports and conduct statistical research, we use aggregated data, such as travel information. We do not use individual names, e-mail addresses, or other information that can be directly related to an individual, nor do we use sensitive personal details, such as medical data.

The principle for data processing is the justified interest.
We conduct statistical and other research into use, in order to provide the management of NS with feedback on developments pertaining to services and products. This includes calculating the amount of material that is needed to operate a specific route. We also use these studies for concession management purposes, and for the development of better services and products. We submit monthly reports to the Ministry of Infrastructure on the realisation of performance indicators, such as traveller punctuality.
We also combine and analyse different types of information in the conduct of the research described above.
With whom do we share this information?
We contract third parties to provide IT services. These third parties process our information solely for our own internal use, and for no other purpose. We have made agreements with these parties pertaining to the processing of personal information.

We are authorised to provide your personal information to parties outside the European Economic Community under certain circumstances. In that event, we will take suitable measures with these parties, for example by agreeing to the standard provisions required by the European Commission.
How long do we store your information?
We store reports for 48 months after the reports have been drawn up.
