What personal data do we use?

When you use WiFi on the train, we use your MAC address. We need a MAC address to enable internet access. We then assign a dynamic IP address to your laptop or mobile device.

If you wish to use WiFi on the train, we enter into a user agreement with you.

The basis for data processing is: entering into and performing a contract.

We only process the data above for the purposes of performing a user agreement to grant access to the WiFi network. If you do not provide these data, you will not be able to connect your device to the WiFi network.

With whom do we share data?

We contract third parties to provide IT services. These third parties process our data solely for our own internal use, and for no other purpose. We have made agreements with these parties pertaining to the processing of personal data.

We are authorised to share your data with law-enforcement agencies, such as the police, for the sake of detecting and preventing crime.

We are authorised to provide your personal data to parties outside the European Economic Community under certain circumstances. In that event, we will take suitable measures with these parties, for example by agreeing to the standard provisions required by the European Commission.

How long do we store your data?

We store your MAC address for up to 24 hours. After that, your data are anonymised.
